Enfield Revue plans show
Meath Chronicle : Sat 11th November 2007
AFTER a three-year absence, Enfield Revue Variety Show made a comeback last year with a fantastic show full of music, comedy, dance and song.
The re-launched revue ran for three nights at the Hamlet Court Hotel, with a full house each night.
The committee was very grateful for all the help hotel owner John O`Neill and his staff gave in helping the show get on the road.
With the green light again this year, the committee has been busy putting a new show together and after many meetings, rehearsals are in full swing.
Some 23 dancers are being put through their steps by this year`s choreographer Corona Cosgrave assisted by Leanor Cosgrave.
The 2008 Enfield Revue Society Variety Show will be staged from 12th -15th February in the Hamlet Court Hotel, with shows starting at 8 pm each night.
The comedy team is also beginning rehearsals and with a strong team it looks like it will again be a show not to be missed.
As with last year, the committee needs some extra money to fund the show and with this in mind the cast, committee and their friends will take to the streets of Enfield during Christmas week for some carol singing.
The carol singing was very popular last year, so mark in 22nd December as a date in your diary for this year`s event.
As well as fundraising, Enfield Revue relies on sponsorship and without doubt it would never go on stage without the wonderful support local businesses have given over the years and the Revue is very grateful for this.
This year`s committee, led by chairman Kenny Davy, is pulling out all the stops to make the 2008 show one of the best. So when Christmas is over and you need something to look forward to think Enfield Revue from 12th -15th February at the Hamlet Court Hotel.
